Medium is the platform in which something is being written or spoken on.
Despite using and learning this concept in class, medium is something used by almost everyone. Even before this class, whenever I would do a project or entertain myself, there would be a certain platform or medium involved to carry out the activity. Medium is the factor of writing that allows the author to convey their message through a certain lens.
In this particular class, there were several mediums used to deliver the information:
- We used Blackboard to submit our assignments digitally for all of the assignments.
- We used Blackboard discussion posts in order to accomplish preliminary tasks such as the genre analysis or peer reviews.
- For the technical proposal, we used Google Presentation to make our slides but we delivered the information orally to the class.
- In terms of communication, we used Zoom to even host classes and used our social medias to contact one another.

The image above is a screenshot of a portion of the presentation my group and I made for the technical proposal. We decided to use Google docs instead of Microsoft word because Google docs saves the information automatically and it is easier to collaborate with group members simultaneously.
This class did allow me to explore more mediums when doing my assignments and have allowed me to see how to use these mediums in a more professional perspective as most of these assignments did correspond with tasks we would need to do in the future.
